ODAP OPEN DAYS #2 – THESSALONIKI

The second event in the “Hellenic Heritage – Open Days” series, organized by the Organisation for the Management and Development of Cultural Resources (ODAP), was successfully held on Thursday, 15 January 2026, at Olympion Cinema in Thessaloniki.

As with Open Days #1, the central focus of the event was the presentation of the new Hellenic Heritage brand and the new digital platform that, for the first time, brings together more than 300 archaeological sites, museums, and monuments into a single, unified digital destination. The event was honored by the presence of the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, the Vice Chair of the Board, Panagiotis Barlabas, and the Director for the Development of Cultural Productions and Promotion at ODAP, Angeliki Maragkaki, along with a wide range of professionals and key stakeholders from the culture and tourism sectors.

The event program also included informational workshops for tourism professionals in attendance. Participants had the opportunity to explore the new Business Portal—a brand-new ticketing issuance and day-to-day management tool, specifically designed to address the needs of travel agencies and tourism professionals—as well as the new Venue Management System, an integrated suite of applications for ticket issuance and validation, and for the daily management and monitoring of archaeological sites and museums.

Finally, special emphasis was placed on accessibility. Persons with disabilities and their accompanying persons, who are entitled to free admission, can select dedicated services—such as the use of an elevator or a wheelchair—during the booking process. The platform follows international accessibility standards and has been designed to ensure full usability for all visitors.
